Visitor Centre

Taylor's Visitor Centre is repeatedly ranked by Tourism BC as one of British Columbia's TOP Visitor Centre’s, and a certain stop for any visitor to the area. Open May 1st to the end of September, visitors will be greeted by Juanita and/or Rita (combined 20yrs of Visitor Centre experience), who can provide travel information and insight about your journey throughout BC and neighbouring provinces. Don’t forget to grab a Werthers candy and "Say Hi to Jake"!

Gold Panning Days

The 36th Annual World's Invitational Class ‘A’ Gold Panning Championships will be held August 2nd and 3rd, 2008 at Peace Island Park. Other events include a Parade, Beginners Panning, Claimstaking, Metal Detecting, Bannock Baking, Arts & Crafts Fair, Children's Activities as well as a Barbeque Dinner & Pancake Breakfast. Taylor Pool

Open May long weekend – August 25. Taylor’s 25 metre indoor swimming pool (one metre deep throughout) offers lessons, AquaFit and drop-in swimming. Group/Party rentals available - 789-3549.

District Ice Centre

The ice arena functions from August until May. Come enjoy public skating anytime during the day on the Leisure Ice Pad, located outside the main ice surface or play any time on the Play centre. Dry floor available May to August. Call 789-3004 for further information.

Lone Wolf Golf Club

Open May - September. 18 holes, 6817 yards, par 72. Driving Range & Practice Greens, CPGA Golf Pros, Licensed Dining at the Clubhouse, Pro Shop and Cart Rentals. Call 789-3711 for information & bookings.

Participaction Trail

3.9 km. trail, 90% paved, goes around the outside of the golf course. Part of the trail (unpaved) includes a natural ravine. Parking is available at the Lone Golf Clubhouse.

Peace Island Park

Open May - September. With 39 sites on the island and 60 serviced sites in the new expansion area, there is sure to be a site for you (reservations are strongly recommended). Peace Island Park continues to be one of the most affordable campgrounds with fees ranging from $10 to $50. Visitors well find there are Serviced, Non-serviced and Group Sites, a Picnic / Day use Are, Walking Trails, Horseshoe Pits, Historic Rocky Mountain Forts, Playgrounds, Shelter with Cookhouse, Water Pump, Firewood, and Boat Launch available for the entire family’s enjoyment. 789-9295
