Burn Ban Effective Saturday August 18, 2018

The following activities will be prohibited in the Peace Forest District and Fort Nelson Forest

District:
• campfires
• Category 2 open fires
• Category 3 open fires
• the burning of any waste, slash or other materials
• stubble or grass fires of any size over any area
• the use of stoves and other portable campfire apparatuses that are not CSA-approved or
ULC-approved
• fires burning woody debris in outdoor stoves
• the use of tiki torches, fireworks, firecrackers, sky lanterns, burning barrels or burning
cages of any size or description
• the use of binary exploding targets (e.g., for rifle target practice)

Pine Avenue West Construction - Use Alternate Routes

In an effort to enhance and expand the community, the District of Taylor is reconstructing Pine Avenue West, from the 100 Street frontage road to Spruce Street South.  This construction includes a sewer extension, road reconstruction with sidewalk installation.  Alternate routes will be clearly marked for residential and commercial traffic.  We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause.  For further information, call the District of Taylor @ 250-789-3392.

Notice from Public Works - July 2018

Notice From Public Works: Public Works is working on a small leak on the river mainline, that is introducing small amounts of air into the water system, causing a milky appearance in the water until the air dissipates.  There are no health risks, only an aesthetic anomaly.   We hope to have this rectified soon and appreciate your patience.

Enbridge Flaring Notification for Tuesday, June 5th

Notice of flaring to occur on June 5, 2018 at the Enbridge CS1 station yard. In addition, our 26” Alberta Mainline will undergo purging at the second location on the attached sketch which may be loud for about fifteen minutes. This is on private land and the nearby residents have been notified
