Local Resident receives Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Award

Local resident Gavin Holmes is a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Having served 47 years, he was recently nominated for the Queen’s
Diamond Jubilee by the Fort St. John Royal Canadian Legion. At the Council meeting on March 5th, Holmes was presented with the award by Mayor Jarvis.

Taylor Sustainability Survey Prize Winner Announced

The District of Taylor would like to thank the many local residents that took the time to complete the online Taylor sustainability survey that was conducted over the last several weeks.

The amount of input gathered was amazing and shows the support that our community has for community based decision making processes.

A big congratulations goes out to our 16GB iPod winner Pauline Plourde.

Smart Meter Notification from BC Hydro

Starting in July 2011 through December 2012, BC Hydro and Corix, our BC-based contractor, is exchanging more than 1.8 million meters. Meter exchanges in your community will commence in May 2012 and are scheduled to be completed by the end of August 2012.

The industrial development park offers 15.066 hectares of easily developed industrial land in the heart of the District of Taylor. The industrial park is located along a paved access road with 100% capacity off the Alaska Highway which leads to the Fort Saint John Airport 10.2km north of the site.
