The September 17, 2013 Committee of the Whole meeting conflicts with UBCM and it is expected that the majority of the Committee members will be in Vancouver attending the conference.
"THAT, the District of Taylor change the Committee of the Whole meeting date from September 17, 2013 to September 24, 2013 given that the date conflicts with UBCM."
Friday is Bingo Night! Join us at the Community Hall from 7-9pm on Friday, May 24 for a couple rounds of Bingo! The Taylor Emergency Social Services volunteer committee will run this month's Bingo!

With the support of residents, community organizations and local businesses, we want to give our community a good clean-up before the summer season. Clean-up can take place around your home, your business and community facilities like the Community Hall, Visitor Center, Fire Hall and others.
There will be a Special Meeting of Council on April 16 at 5:00 pm in Council Chambers at the District of Taylor Office.

Local resident Gavin Holmes is a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Having served 47 years, he was recently nominated for the Queen’s
Diamond Jubilee by the Fort St. John Royal Canadian Legion. At the Council meeting on March 5th, Holmes was presented with the award by Mayor Jarvis.

A new regional investment attraction website, Invest Northeast BC, reveals the high amount of economic activity taking place in B.C.’s energy-rich northeast region.
The District of Taylor would like to thank the many local residents that took the time to complete the online Taylor sustainability survey that was conducted over the last several weeks.
The amount of input gathered was amazing and shows the support that our community has for community based decision making processes.
A big congratulations goes out to our 16GB iPod winner Pauline Plourde.

Starting in July 2011 through December 2012, BC Hydro and Corix, our BC-based contractor, is exchanging more than 1.8 million meters. Meter exchanges in your community will commence in May 2012 and are scheduled to be completed by the end of August 2012.
The industrial development park offers 15.066 hectares of easily developed industrial land in the heart of the District of Taylor. The industrial park is located along a paved access road with 100% capacity off the Alaska Highway which leads to the Fort Saint John Airport 10.2km north of the site. The airport has daily flights to Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Prince George with connections to major international airports. Additionally, the site runs adjacent to an existing rail line with the potential for direct service to the lots.
