Plateau Pipe Line Ltd., a subsidiary of Pembina Pipeline Corporation, is currently in the process of constructing the Sunrise Lateral Project (“the Project”).
The construction consists of installing a casing, or steel tube, which will last up to 15 days. The installation of the casing uses a process similar to installing piles resulting in a banging noise. In an effort to accommodate area residents, Pembina has installed a sound barrier that has reduced sound as much as possible.
Following the installation of the casing, the horizontal drilling operations will take place for another 40 days. The horizontal drilling operations will result in a humming noise.
Construction activity will take place on a 24 hour per day basis for the next 55 days.
The project, consists of an approximately 30 kilometre, 12-inch diameter pipeline that will transport product flowing north from southeast of Taylor, British Columbia to Pembina’s existing Taylor Facility.
If you have any questions, please contact Pembina at firstname.lastname@example.org
