Taylor Elementary School
The first schoolhouse in Taylor was built in 1919 and was know as the Taylor Flats School. This 16X24 foot log building with two windows was built by the people of the area. There were 12 desks and Mrs. Easton was the first teacher. We take pride in knowing that the Taylor Flats School was the first school north of the Peace River in the British Columbia Peace River Block.
The present day Taylor Elementary School was built in 1937 and is home to the Taylor Tigers. With kindergarten to grade 6 the school has 111 students enrolled. There are six teachers, a principal and six support staff.
