The World's Invitational Gold Panning Championships & Taylor Gold Panning Weekend is the event for you! This unique event draws the serious and the curious every year. Whether you just want to be marvelled by the speed and skill of the world class competitors, or try your hand at the beginner level, Taylor's even is the perfect place for both. In addition to the crowd favourite gold panning, visitors can watch and/or participate in metal detecting, claimstaking or bannock baking. There are categories for adults and juveniles alike, as well as a host of other fun-family oriented events throughout the weekend. Don't forget to buy your tickets for the famous steak BBQ on Saturday night and the Pancake breakfast on Sunday morning!

Location
Taylor is situated in the North East corner of British Columbia. The event takes place in Peace Island Park, located on the banks of the mighty & majestic Peace River. Peace Island Park has over one hundred sites, with pull-thru access and electrical supply for nearly fifty. The park has a host of amenities, including multiple children's playgrounds, interpretive historic displays at the Rocky Mountain Forts, walking trails, a boat launch, horseshoe pits, and plenty of open green space for miscellaneous activities.
