Garbage Collection and Disposal Bylaw
The District of Taylor Council creates bylaws as authorized by the Community Charter and the Local Government Act to achieve a safe, healthy and livable environment for the residents of Taylor. Bylaw enforcement is actually bylaw compliance. The bylaw department will only respond to written complaints from a valid complaint for non-traffic violations. Complaint’s name and information is kept confidential unless required to be released by the Freedom of Information Act.
The Bylaw Enforcement Officer will first attempt to get voluntary compliance through education and discussion. Legal action if needed is the last resort. Under the Municipal Ticket Information Act a violation notice with a fine and possible court proceedings is the next step which can lead to higher fines, and even court ordered action.
